Regional Special Events Center, Murray State University

Serving more than 560,000 people within a 60-mile radius, the Regional Special Events Center is a versatile, multipurpose facility that can be used for a variety of events — sports, entertainment, corporate meetings, concerts, conventions, trade shows, and student recreation. The Center features a 240,000 square-foot basketball arena that seats 8,600 (compared to Racer Arena’s 5,500 capacity). In addition, the Center has four concourses, nine basketball courts, five volleyball courts, four tennis courts, a four-lane rubberized indoor track and the versatility of retractable seating. The center is designed to handle successive and simultaneous events. Primary tenants are the Murray State Racers (men’s) and Lady Racers basketball teams.
