Corrections Corporation of America Headquarters

Bell helped build and later expand the Nashville headquarters building for the Corrections Corporation of America (CCA). The company is the nation’s largest owner and operator of privatized correctional and detention facilities and also one of the largest prison operators in the world. The CCA building includes a number of attractive architectural details including 17-foot-high suspended ceilings, elliptical segmented exterior walls, an elliptical opening for the interior’s monumental three-story center staircase, an atrium with angled walls and three-story pilasters and circular balconies. The project included the construction of a parking garage.
